Intro to Modern Calligraphy | visual story telling
Join us for a slow Sunday morning of fine art and tasty refreshments. This two hour course will cover the basics of modern calligraphy with an emphasis on visual composition—arranging words on the page in a way that tells a story. Andi Allison will cover the anatomy of a dip pen, fundamental lettering techniques, and how to apply the principles of design to elevate your calligraphy. There will be plenty of time for practice, questions, and personal guidance. Come with some special words in mind for the custom print and greeting card that will be the final product of the class.
Course Fee includes refreshments, black ink, an oblique pen holder + two nikko g nibs, and various papers for cards and prints. Plus shop discount for any in-store purchases.
This class is suitable for all levels of experience.
